Sites You Need to Sign Up At

I love these sites. They all have some kind of use. Try them out.

Quizlet - Online flash cards. This site helps you memorize things so quickly. I use it to study for vocabulary sometimes. And it doesn't look yucky either. I hate it when sites have a great idea and use and stuff, but it looks tacky. But this one even has nice animation! Yay! Try out the little sample on the homepage.

Playlist.com - Just compile all your favorite songs here. Each playlist can hold up to 200 songs, I think. I usually have 2. One for all the songs I like, and then one for just replaying a small group so I can just listen to what I feel like listening to at the moment. It's also great because you can use the search bar while listening to music at the same time. So it doesn't stop the music everytime you search up an artist or song.

Remember the Milk - This is an online to-do list. laurapoet introduced me to this one. I just signed up a few days ago. It's easy to use, and has an awesome name. I usually just rattle off everything in the little blank-where-you-type-tasks and press enter after each task. Then all I have to do is just click it off my favorites and then check off what I've done. You can even share to-do lists, if you like.

Flickr - This is a site with photos. Like DeviantArt except with only photography. Like photobucket but without all the tiny icons and animations. And much better photos than the kind you'll find on Google images. I mainly use this for favorite-ing amazing photos. Really, just type in a word and out comes all these gorgeous and cool and amazing and snazzy photos.

Blogger.com - Get a blog! It's really fun to just talk about anything you want, particularly yourself. And the great thing is, no one has to listen if they don't want to! So you don't even have to feel bad for talking too much. And you can add little things to the sidebar!

DeviantArt - A website full of art. And all kinds too. Traditional, digital, jewelry, ceramics, film, literature, flash, and a lot lot more. My personal favorite is the emoticons. Not just :)'s or :('s here. Nope. There's giant 100x100 emoticons, very long emoticons, static emoticons, treecutting emoticons, pirate-ninja emoticons, swinging around the world emoticons, and there's just so many of them! I love them so much that I'll even provide a link to the emoticon section, since it's kinda hard to find.

FutureMe - Send an e-mail to your future self. Maybe in 2020 or something. If you sign up, you can change the e-mail it'll be sent to in case you change e-mails. All the future-emails you send will also be compiled in a little list. The list only shows the title of the e-mail you send though, so you can't cheat and look at your e-mail before you get it. It's fun! I sent one to myself, which is supposed to arrive in 2016, when I'll be in college!

Geni - Well, I just found this. It sounds interesting. Basically, it's an online family tree that you can make. You just add relatives, and you can make profiles and send stuff.

Now just 2 other sites.

1000AwesomeThings - 1000 random, awesome things like "stomping dry crunchy leaves on the sidewalk", "when the hiccups stop", and "typing in your username and password at the speed of light". Not completely up to 1000 yet, but still cool. :D

BookArmy - I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds cool! It says, "Never read a bad book again". Anyway, I'll try it later. You should try too.

And I'm listening to, "Where Do I Go?" by Marie Digby.

That's it!

Classical?

You must listen to Lost My Pieces.

It's a sad song, although not the kind that brings you into deep depression. Since it's only instrumental, would it count as classical music?

It's from Toradora. Have you ever watched Toradora? It's an anime. I was in an anime phase two years ago, when I first discovered anime. For a while, I forgot about it, and then a friend got me into watching Toradora, and I am once again in an anime phase. I don't watch anime that much though. I must say, I think the end-ish part of episode 19 of Toradora is the most moving episode of anime in the history of anime I will ever watch. Even though I suppose it is sappy... It's also the best, by the way. So, onto other things.

I'm curious about how many people actually read my blog. I know there aren't many, because I'll be happy with just five who check it once in a while. I also wonder which of you I know, and which of you I don't.

Don't you think its strange, how you could be completely different because of one small little action? If you befriended one group of people rather than another, future you might have different interests. You could have walked right past your possible-best-friend-for-life-if-you-had-only-poked-them-in-the-shoulder 5 times a week. And it's like all your chances in life are piled up, and every second a bunch of them gets crossed off. Somewhat like:

stared at computer screen -0.0001 vision
spilled defected juice -1 week of stomach turning

sent letter to law school -1 chance of musical child prodigy
ate pocky +2 minutes of satisfied stomach
lent pencil to student +1 angry teacher
did not call classmate -1 chance of turning in correct assignment
responded "oh." +1 friend for life

Alrighty then.

(sahl-min) Salmon (sam-en)

Hello. Well, I added something new under the poll. I made it with HTML, :D.
I just felt like adding something different to it. Also, if you press the button, nothing much happens. It doesn't save or send whatever's in the text box. So no worries. :)

I've been feeling like I need to do a lot of things differently. I'm bored of everything being the same. Same uniform every day, same food, same schedule, same blog stuff, same links, even the same music. So I'm just trying to do more things differently. Just the small things though. Like wearing a ponytail, making changes to my blog, or eat homemade beef jerky in different flavours. I'm probably going to change the radio station to some other random one I've never listened to. Maybe I'll do a different kind of post sometime. Also, about the title. The first word is how I pronounce salmon. The third word is the correct way to say it, according to my friend laurapoet. o_o

I also feel like starting something, such as a sort-of big project. Maybe bind a book using an accordion fold(which I've never done before), or a new blog. I'm definately not stopping this blog if I do though, I just want something to be excited about. And geez, I still don't know how to spell "definately" properly. It just never looks right.

Definately (Definately)
Disappear (Dissapear)

See, the stuff in parentheses is what I usually type, and the word on the left is what I think it's actually spelled. I think when I say new blog, I mean just make a new topic or a new layout of my own.

I actually wanted to make this post hot pink, mostly because I don't like associating myself with pink in any way, even though its a nice color. Also, because hot pink is bright and very different from the color scheme on my blog. Unfortunately, they don't have hot pink on the list of color choices, and I don't feel like changing the html because now I realize that that much hot pink will make you cry. So I settled with boring slate blue, because its a pretty color. :/ :)

Wait, nevermind. I found a salmon color, yay! Now it alternates, since I can't decide which I like more.

And happy cinco de mayo!

Candy Glass :D

Yay! We have a new blog! Laurapoet and I decided to make a blog where we post a picture every day. We got the idea from another blog called 3191 "a year of evenings", in which 2 people who live 3191 miles apart take a picture every evening and posts it, to see if their lives are all that different.

Anyway, be sure to check our new blog every day!

Ok, poll results!

Windows: 15 votes
Mac: 9 votes
Cell: 0 votes
Other: 0 votes

Ok, seems like Windows and Mac really squashed all the others...
Anyway, new poll up soon!
Oh, and new blog link. :)

10 Ideas for Your Blog

Ok, so I've been trying to think up blog ideas. I've thought of a few and hopefully it will help me and other bloggers to find out what to post about.

  1. Random: Take any object that people overlook and use a lot, but dont think about very much. Type about its importance in your life and all the amazing things it can do.
  2. Help: Give people step-by-step instructions of how to do something that many people need help with, because they will thank you for the help. That is, once they get the courage to comment.
  3. Complain: Talk about the unfairness of how there are more right-handed items than left-handed items. Or how there are more things you can download on Windows and not as much on Mac, simply because Windows was introduced first. Otherwise, how unfair anything is.
  4. Reviews: If you read, watch a lot of a movies, or go out frequently, this idea will be great for you! Simply type up a review on any of them. Perhaps there's a restaurant you go to all the time. Write about the great food or customer service there. And if you're a movie watcher, criticize and praise its plot. For bookworms, write a book review and rate it from one to ten.
  5. Talent: If there's something you enjoy doing, share it on your blog! Writers and poets could post their poems and stories, and photographers can upload pictures for all to see. If your hobby is making handbags, you can post tips and instructions for people who have gotten inspired from your work.
  6. List: Make a list. Whether its a favorite book list or list of pros and cons, there's no limit to how long it can be!
  7. Challenge: Give your readers a challenge. Ask them to write a romance between a tomatoe and a potatoe. Tell them to email you a recipe for disaster. Whatever you do, the results will probably be very entertaining.
  8. You: Talk about you. Drama in one's personal life is interesting sometimes. Otherwise, how come readers enjoy realistic fiction so much?
  9. Blog: Post about stuff in your blog. The results of the poll, a recollection of last years most interesting entries, or why in the world you put a picture of that poor cat who's head was stuck in a fish bowl.
  10. FAQ: Make a small post of FAQ, or interview a fellow blogger or reader. Or even interview a whole bunch of people with the same questions and see how the answers differentiate.

I hope that helps. Now I have few more ideas on what to post about...

Hello!

Wow, this is my first post! I will be writing about everything on my blog so far and a few things about myself.
I've been exploring all the page elements and at the moment we have...

  • About me: A small description "about me".
  • A poll: A place where you can vote on your opinion! I plan on changing the poll every month. I started in the middle of July, so you all only have 15 days to vote instead of the normal 30 or so days. Oh well.
  • A links list: A list of links to places that I find interesting. I love links, as some of the people on my email know. :)

Ok, so not much, but I really had to get started on my first post. Hehe... Ok, now into more detail about me. o_o

  • I love making art - graphics, pen & ink, painting, etc. (I love crafty projects too)
  • I use o_o O_o :) :D and other text emotes. I think it comes from playing too many MMORPGs and using aim.
  • I love reading and pasar tiempo con amigas. (Must review spanish before I forget it all!)
  • I love chocolate croissants, tapioca(bubble tea), pocky and most things from a bakery. Athough, not counting the cakes since some are too sweet. o_o
  • I love reading instructions, tutorials, and intros. :) And guides on some things.
  • I love small text. I love neat, simple things. o_o
  • My favorite color is blue.
  • I wear a watch all the time.

I think thats good enough. o_o Finally done with my first post! :D
